HAUNT (2019) REVIEW

I just got done watching Haunt on the Shudder horror app. Haunt is a 2019 movie that is an American slasher film that debut first at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival and later got a premiere at FrightFest over seas. Then finally got a limited release by Momentum Pictures. Directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woords, and had Eli Roth as a producer. All reviews have been mostly positive from critics and audiences. I have been interested in giving it a chance, so when my wife suggested it, I put it on.

COME TO DADDY MOVIE REVIEW

Come To Daddy is labeled as a comedy horror, but I would say it is more of a horror thriller. I first heard of this movie from my cousin Brian who host the Terrible Terror Podcast. After showing me the trailer I was hooked and wanted to see it. One thing that I loved about the trailer is that it gives nothing way from the movie. And there is a BIG twist that I am so happy did not get spoiled.

THE TURNING MOVIE REVIEW

Released in January of 2020, this movie was a passion project for executive producer Steven Spielberg. The Turning is a supernatural horror film that takes place in 1994. I missed this movie in the theaters, even though it did peaked my interest when I saw the trailer. Plus it was starring Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things and IT. The movie is based on the 1898 ghost story by Henry James' The Turning OF The Screw.

2019 MA MOVIE REVIEW

Back in May of 2019 Blumhouse Productions released the movie Ma. Listed as a psychological/suspense horror staring Octavia Spencer, Diana Silvers, Juliette Lewis, and Luke Evans. I remember seeing the trailers for Ma and thinking, this seems different, I definitely want to check it out. Well Godzilla King Of The Monster came out at the same time, and well Godzilla won for that weekend. Next thing I know, its a few months later and it was out of theaters. With me just getting the HBO Max app and it being on it, I saw that as a perfect opportunity to check it out.

GRETEL AND HANSEL MOVIE REVIEW

When I saw the previews for Gretel and Hansel knowing the fairy tail it was based on, I thought to myself, "This should be good, no way they could screw up this movie". A movie based on the tale of two children wondering through the woods and coming across a house made of candy and cake with a witch who wants to fatten up children to have for supper, that has horror all over it. Now you throw in Sophia Lillis that was great in both IT movies, showing she has some good horror chops and possibly a scream queen in the making, they are stacking up for a great horror movie.

2010'S THE CRAZIES REVIEW

I just got done watching the movie The Crazies from 2010. It's a movie that I was always interested in seeing, but never took the time to watch it. Really surprised that I missed it in the theaters since it is a movie right up my ally. As I sat at home flipping through movies on Amazon Prime, I came across it and thought, why not finally watch this movie. My wife and brother in-law had not seen it either, so seemed like a good pick to throw some popcorn in the microwave and sit back watch and enjoy.

THE BABADOOK REVIEW

I just got done watch the Australian psychological horror movie, The Babadook. Now I know I am a little late to the party since this movie came out in 2014. My bother kept telling me to check it out, and how much he loved it. Then I recently watched the movie Z on the Shutter movie app. A few reviews I saw about Z (Z 2020 REVIEW) compared it to The Bababdook. I was even getting asked on Instagram how they compared. Since I had not seen it yet, I knew that I had to watch it and see why people compared the two.

ANNABELLE WILL LEAVE YOU SCARED!

Last night I went to see Annabelle, the origins story of the possessed doll made famous in the movie The Conjuring and was stopped and kept save by Ed and Lorraine Warren.(Link To My Post On The Conjuring). Just like The Conjuring, Annabelle was a scary movie that made you jump. The great thing about both movies, is that they did not need to use gore to be a scary movie. Annabelle is a intense movie, with one of the most scariest scenes I have seen in a long time.

THE WALKING DEAD 400 DAYS

I'm so behind on this post it's not funny. I wanted to post this back in July when I first played The Walking Dead 400 Days. I guess better late then never right? And the fact that season 2 has not came out yet just means that I still have time.

400 days is a middle story between season 1 and 2 of Telltale Games The Walking Dead. Choices you make in 400 Days will effect things going into season 2. There are 6 stories that happen within 400 Days each taking place during the days after the outbreak of Walkers. Some of the choices made in season 1 will carry over into 400 Days.

Starting you off at a truck stop off the Georgia highway called Gil's Pitstop. On a bulletin board pictures of missing people are posted. You will play as five different characters, Vince, Wyatt, Russell, Bonnie, and Shel that can be picked from the bulletin board. Each story is there own, but will connect in the end.

HORROR MOVIE AT IT'S BEST, THE CONJURING

The Conjuring came out on July 19th. As soon as I had seen the trailer for it I got pretty excited. I am one who loves horror movies. Now a days though I try not to get myself to excited for them cause the less excited I am, the less disappointed I will be if it turns out bad or just okay. A lot of times you get the best or most scariest parts in the trailers. Also it seems like horror movies now a days are just some random torture, bloody, and gore film, Which is not a bad thing, but I miss them good old horror movies that make you jump from all the suspense that gets built up throughout the movie. And who doesn't love a movie that makes you second guess walking down the dark hallway at night after watching a horror movie that scared the socks off you.

THE WALKING DEAD GAME EPISODE V NO TIME LEFT

The final episode of the first season of Tell Tale Games The Walking Dead has came out on November 21, 2011 (Yes I know I am a little late getting this up, life happens!). Quick recap, Lee has been bitten on the arm as he was looking for Clementine who has gone missing. He does not tell the group about being bite, I chose not to tell them, Lee, Because of my choices I have made, could only get Ben to go with him to go find Clementine. As episode IV ended you find out that she has been kidnapped.
After the quick conversion with the stranger on the walkie talkie, Lee knows to look for Clementine somewhere else in the city. Searching around the morgue, Lee and Ben find a elevator. Lee uses a rib spreader he finds to pry open the elevator doors, he then passes out from his bite. When he wakes up, Ben tells him he was out for awhile. Lee shows Ben the bite and grabs a surgical saw, You can now choose to cut off Lee's arm or not, I chose to cut off his arm hoping it would save him or give him more time, which Lee uses on himself.

THE WALKING DEAD GAME EPISODE IV AROUND EVERY CORNER

Episode IV finally came out on October 10, 2012. The group is just arriving in Savannah, which is a ghost town. There are some surprising events in Around Every Corner. The choices you make in this one are not as heart felt as in Episode III, they seemed to go back to giving you some simple chooses to make. And the end will leave you in shock.
As the group walks into the empty town, Clementine is trying to get her walkie-talkie back from Lee. Lee is holding on to it to see if the unknown man talking to Clementine tries to contact her now that they were in Savannah. As they make there way down the streets, Christa asks Omid if he needs to get off his leg. You can now chose to ask Kenny to stop and rest, or just say that you need to press on. I said to press on. Shortly after church bells start ringing and Lee sees a figure running away form the bells on the roof. Just then the unknown man chimes in and tells them they better get off the streets.
