MIKEY (1992) REVIEW

I remember the first time watching this movie with my cousin when I was ten or eleven at my grandma's house. See back in the day there was something called a "Black Box". Well my cousin Ernie and I use to watch a bunch of movie that would probably shouldn't have been. Mikey was one of the those movies. I was scrolling through on Amazon Prime when I saw it sitting there under the free movies. My eyes lite up when I saw it and knew that I wanted it to be my first blog post after a few months off.

HAUNT (2019) REVIEW

I just got done watching Haunt on the Shudder horror app. Haunt is a 2019 movie that is an American slasher film that debut first at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival and later got a premiere at FrightFest over seas. Then finally got a limited release by Momentum Pictures. Directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woords, and had Eli Roth as a producer. All reviews have been mostly positive from critics and audiences. I have been interested in giving it a chance, so when my wife suggested it, I put it on.

2019 MA MOVIE REVIEW

Back in May of 2019 Blumhouse Productions released the movie Ma. Listed as a psychological/suspense horror staring Octavia Spencer, Diana Silvers, Juliette Lewis, and Luke Evans. I remember seeing the trailers for Ma and thinking, this seems different, I definitely want to check it out. Well Godzilla King Of The Monster came out at the same time, and well Godzilla won for that weekend. Next thing I know, its a few months later and it was out of theaters. With me just getting the HBO Max app and it being on it, I saw that as a perfect opportunity to check it out.

THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT (SPOILERS)

I just got home from seeing The Strangers: Prey At Night, the sequel to the 2008 movie The Strangers. Both movies have the same plot line. Three people in masks go and kill people in remote areas. In the first movie, the big quote was when asked,"Why are you doing this?" was,"Because you were home". The thought of no rhyme or reason for there actions, and the way they stalked there victims gave you a real uneasy feeling. Its not really a gory movie, its more about being intense and to mess with your psyche.

In this sequel the three killers, only known as Dollface, Pin Up Girl, and the Man In The Mask arrive to a trailer park campsite, and kill the keepers of the park. Meanwhile, a family that consist of a mother, father, brother, and sister, gets ready to head out to take there daughter to a boarding school, cause she is just too much to handle. There is a lot of poor parenting in this movie. They end up at the trailer park as a pit stop, which happens to be the mother's uncles place.
