In this sequel the three killers, only known as Dollface, Pin Up Girl, and the Man In The Mask arrive to a trailer park campsite, and kill the keepers of the park. Meanwhile, a family that consist of a mother, father, brother, and sister, gets ready to head out to take there daughter to a boarding school, cause she is just too much to handle. There is a lot of poor parenting in this movie. They end up at the trailer park as a pit stop, which happens to be the mother's uncles place.
The family gets there late and the uncle had left keys and a trailer for them to stay in. As they pull up to the trailer, there is a smiley face on the mailbox. Not even 5 minutes after getting into the trailer, thee is a knock at the door. Dollface is standing in the shadows asking if someone was home. They tell her no and she walks off.
Mom and dad try to get a family card game going together after they take there kids cellphones. Daughter runs off all pissed off for the whole boarding school thing, and mom and dad don't want to go after her, so who do they send out in the dark, you guessed it, the son. Lets park it here for a second. There in a place that is suppose to be abandoned for this time of the the year. Some random weird chick shows up to your door and takes off into the darkness. Whats a good idea when your teenage daughter runs off...send out your teenage son to go find her while you make out and talk about having sex on the couch when the kids are going to be out of the house....ONCE AGAIN, great parenting.
Okay, so brother and sister have a heart to heart and then find there dead uncle and aunt. While this is happening, Dollface comes back to the house asking for some random person again, and again walking off to the darkness, stopping to look back at dad who answered the door, and taking off again. This makes mom want to find the kids, so they set off. As the kids run outside from the uncle's trailer, they run into good old mom and dad.
Kids tell parents what they found, and dad must of been a fan of Scooby-Doo, cause he decides to split up. Mom and daughter head back to there trailer by themselves, dad and son go back to see the dead bodies. Team Female gets back and finds there phones smashed, that's right, they didn't even lock the door. Dollface came in from the bedroom and attacks. Team Female lock themselves in the bathroom and then try to escape through a sunroof. Daughter goes first, and while this is happening, Dollface starts breaking down the door.
Now instead of turning and fighting cause there was no time to get mom up through the roof, she just keeps reaching for daughter and gets stabbed a bunch of times. Now Team Male is getting stalked by the Man In The Mask. Dad finds uncle's gun and they make a run for it. They find dead mom and take off in the car to find daughter/sister. Sister is being stalked by all three. Then as Team Male are driving, a potted planet hits the windshield and Team Male crash.
Dad is impaled and is going nowhere, so he gives his son the gun and the task to find his sister. Not even fifteen seconds after son gets out of the car, Man In The Mask shows up and gets in the car with dad. He gets a ice pick and is now dead. Daughter goes to hide in a random trailer and some how Dollface knew she would show up there and send up a jack in the box to mess with here. Dollface goes for the kill and brother shows up to save the day.
Well he did stop Dollface, threatening to shoot her, but he is to scared to pull the trigger. They run off to get away. Brother realizes his sister had got cut on the leg and can't run. They try to hide and get found again, and of course lose the gun. Brother puts sister in a hiding place and run off to the store they got the key from, and try to call the cops. He ends up killing Pin Up Girl and fights with Man In The Mask. He is stabbed in the fight and sister shows up and hides him. She then runs off to find help.
A cop shows up and she thinks she is safe, well that is until Dollface walks up behind the cop and slits his throat. You heard me, walks up right behind the cop while sister is looking at him and does not notice a masked girl walking up on the cop. Sister runs to the cops SUV and get a hold of the shotgun. She blasts Dollface and takes off her mask. Sister asks,"Why are you doing this?" and Dollface replies with,"Why not?" Sister finishes her off and gets back in the SUV.
As sister is trying to start up the SUV, Man In The Mask is flying up behind her, and of course she does not notice. He rams the SUV over and over and gets stuck. Sister is now out of the SUV and sees that gas is pouring out of the truck. She throws a lighter she had into the fire and the truck is engulfed in flames. Sister starts walking down the street when the truck starts moving again.
She runs as he slowly chases her. Sister finally falls and Man In The Mask gets out with his ax. He walks up to her and falls down, mask half gone, and face all burnt up. Sister stops a truck going by, and the woman driving gets out to see if she is okay. She then turns and, this part cracks me up, runs back to her truck not saying anything! And why do you ask? Cause the Man In The Mask was coming up behind sister with an ax.
Where have I seen this scene before...OH YEAH, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!
He swings at sister and misses. Sister jumps into the back of the truck and Man In The Mask just on as well. Well lucky for sister, there was a bat in the back. She hits Man In The Mask in the head so hard, he neck breaks and he falls to the highway. They end with brother in a hospital bed and sister sitting by his side. She hears that same jack in the box from earlier and a knock on the door, same knock that Dollface did on the trailer at the start of the movie, sister freaks out and the credits roll.
Now was this movie as good as the original, no it is not. Is it a okay slasher with a few good jump scares, yes it is. There is a lot of bad and over the top acting in this movie. The sister being the worst. Twice she does this forced "gulp" that was pretty bad. Having said that, the three killers played the part perfectly. One thing that I couldn't believe, is that they used the similar ending to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Over all, it is worth a watch. If anything a rental for a weekend night at home.
