BILLY BEANE MAKES BIG MOVES BEFORE TRADE DEADLINE
I am just getting out of the shower and getting ready for work when my phones goes off. I got a update from my ESPN app. I look and my eyes widen and mouth drops with a few cuss words. The Oakland A's traded Yoenis Cespedes to the Boston Red Soxs for Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes. A trade I did not see coming, and well don't believe that any A's fan saw happening.
Cespedes, who just won back to back home run derby's and one of the biggest parts of our offensive, will be heading to Boston. Just saying that puts a bad taste in my mouth. Now I know that Lester is a beast at pitching. He has experiences and wins in both the playoffs and World Series. Gomes is a hometown boy that was with the A's before. Gomes is a good hitter and outfielder, but he does not have the same hitting presence as Cespedes.

YOENIS CESPEDES, BACK TO BACK HOME RUN DERBY CHAMPION
Yoenis Cespedes, outfielder for the Oakland A's, has done it again! He has become the 2014 Home Run Derby champion. If you remember, he also won it last year in 2013 in New York at the Met's stadium. Tonight he won it in Minnesota at the Twins stadium. Cespedes fought through 4 rounds plus a swing off against fellow Oakland Athletic Josh Donaldson.
"It was something I wanted to accomplish," Cespedes said.

FUN TIMES WITH THE FAMILY AT THE A'S GAME
Last Saturday my family and I went to the A's vs Yankees' game. My dad and I wanted to see Derrick Jeter one last time in person, so when we got tickets. Not just any tickets, we thought we would see the game in style and got a suite. We were above center field and lined up perfectly with home plate. It was a 12 person suite, but there was only 7 of us. The 7 of us was my mom, dad, brother(Joseph), sister(Emily), wife(Crystal), and my sister's boyfriend Ray.

SORRY CUBS FANS, IT WAS JUST A DREAM!
Last night I had a dream that I was playing baseball. Now as a Oakland Athletics fan, you would think that if I was going to dream about playing for a MLB team it would be them. But no, for some reason I dreamt I was playing for the Chicago Cubs. Which is very strange since the A's and Cubs are not even in the same division or league.
In my dream I was up to bat. We were in Chicago at Wrigley Field and it was the bottom of the 9th. Down 1 runs and with two outs left. If I make this last out, we lose the World Series and the Chicago White Soxs would win. Being down in the count 1-2, I had to swing to stay alive. I could feel the crowds energy no matter how much I tried to tune them out. As the pitcher gets ready to throw the ball, you can hear the crowd gasp for air hoping for a hit. The pitch comes, a low curve ball. I swing the bat in hops to make contact. SMACK!! I connect with the ball and drive a line drive single to the outfield.

CESPEDES THE 2013 ALL STAR HOME RUN DERBY WINNER
The 2013 All Star Home Run Derby was tonight. There were 6 different big league sluggers who went for the title of Home Run Derby King. But there can be only one! And it was not who all the experts thought it would be. Most thought it would be the from winner of the 2012 derby Prince Fielder, he was eliminated in the first round. But the crown came to the West Coast tonight.

OAKLAND ATHLETICS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
Hell yeah baby! The Oakland Athletics make the playoffs for the first time since 2006! At the beginning of the year no one was giving the A's love or thought they would be in the spot they are in! Us fans had little hope for a playoff season. There was even a analyst who said at the start of the baseball season that the A's would lose 100 games. I would love to see what they got to say now!! With the win tonight over the Texas Rangers we are in the playoffs, also knocking out and crushing the dreams of the Anaheim Angels and Tampa Bay Rays in the wild-card race. Right now we only have a wild-card spot, but if we can sweep the Rangers we will take the AL West Division Title! Either way we will be in the playoffs, and either way the Oakland Athletics will make a statemented in the playoffs!!! This is a very exciting time to be a A's fan!! Lets keep up the great ball playing, and lets keep doing the BERNIE!! LET'S GO OAKLAND!!

OAKLAND ATHLETICS ARE ON FIRE
Who would have thought that heading into September that the A's would be three games out from being in first place in the division and also be in the number one spot for the Wild Card. With September just starting the A's have really heated up. The playoffs are only a month away and the with the A's pitchers shutting down hitters and the A's hitters knocking the ball around like no tomorrow, there are little worries that the A's will miss them.

I FINALLY TURN THE DREADED 30
So I have turned 30 years old back on Thursday May 3, 2012. I was not completely looking forward to this day, but it has come and past and nothing really has changed from 29. Now leaving my 20's was a trip for me. I look at the past 10 years and wonder not only where did they go, but also at the things that I have done and should have done. The day of my birthday was also very fun, my family and I went to the Giants game in San Francisco.

OAKLAND A'S BASEBALL IS ALMOST HERE
Football season has come and gone, and now it getting time to bust out the peanuts and Cracker Jack's because baseball season is right around the corner. Baseball is my second favorite sport next to football. Now I am a Oakland A's fan, always have been. And even though I am looking forward to the upcoming season, at the same time I am not. I love my Oakland A's, but with all the trades they have been making lately it has been driving me crazy. Now a lot of people are saying it because they owner of the Oakland A's wants to move the team to another city. They are looking at staying in California and moving down the 880 freeway from Oakland to Fremont. Now I hear they are looking at moving to even further down the 880 freeway to San Jose. Personally I wish they would just re-built the stadium they are at now, and stay in Oakland. Now I know they share the stadium with the Oakland Raiders, but if they re-built the stadium to compensate both teams, I don't understand why it could not work.
