BILLY BEANE MAKES BIG MOVES BEFORE TRADE DEADLINE

I am just getting out of the shower and getting ready for work when my phones goes off. I got a update from my ESPN app. I look and my eyes widen and mouth drops with a few cuss words. The Oakland A's traded Yoenis Cespedes to the Boston Red Soxs for Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes. A trade I did not see coming, and well don't believe that any A's fan saw happening.

Cespedes, who just won back to back home run derby's and one of the biggest parts of our offensive, will be heading to Boston. Just saying that puts a bad taste in my mouth. Now I know that Lester is a beast at pitching. He has experiences and wins in both the playoffs and World Series. Gomes is a hometown boy that was with the A's before. Gomes is a good hitter and outfielder, but he does not have the same hitting presence as Cespedes.

HELP FIGHT LEUKEMIA FOR THE LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK

I have wrote before about my brother in-law Anthony having Leukemia. He got it when he was 17 years old. He had to finish high school at home. He ran cross country for his high school team and had to give it up cause of his Cancer. He is now in remission and doing much better with very little flare ups. We are very lucky and happy that he made a recover. Since we found out about him having Leukemia, we have gotten involved in raising money to help fight this disease.

YOENIS CESPEDES, BACK TO BACK HOME RUN DERBY CHAMPION

Yoenis Cespedes, outfielder for the Oakland A's, has done it again! He has become the 2014 Home Run Derby champion. If you remember, he also won it last year in 2013 in New York at the Met's stadium. Tonight he won it in Minnesota at the Twins stadium. Cespedes fought through 4 rounds plus a swing off against fellow Oakland Athletic Josh Donaldson.

"It was something I wanted to accomplish," Cespedes said.

FUN TIMES WITH THE FAMILY AT THE A'S GAME

Last Saturday my family and I went to the A's vs Yankees' game. My dad and I wanted to see Derrick Jeter one last time in person, so when we got tickets. Not just any tickets, we thought we would see the game in style and got a suite. We were above center field and lined up perfectly with home plate. It was a 12 person suite, but there was only 7 of us. The 7 of us was my mom, dad, brother(Joseph), sister(Emily), wife(Crystal), and my sister's boyfriend Ray.

BUSY WEEKEND OF FUN AND SURPRISES

My weekend started Friday night after work. On Thursday I got my permit for my Class A licence, so to celebrate that my cousin Brian and I went out for some drinks Friday night. That was really nice cause him and I have not gone out for a drink in a long time. We talked about our week and some problems we was having at our normal watering hole called Spanky's. Sometimes you need to blow off some steam with a good friend and a good drink, and that Jack and Coke did the trick!

STARTING A JOURNEY BACK TO GOOD HEALTH

I need to get back to being a healthier person. I use to be in great shape and played lots of sports. I was in the gym all the time lifting weights getting stronger. And then I gained a bunch of weight between getting hurt and going through a depression. Not using those as excuses, they are what caused it, but it is on me for letting it happen. At one point I weighted the most I had ever weight, and sadly I believe it was around 500.
