RAIDERS FAIL TO GROUND THE JETS IN WEEK 1 OPENER

Raiders opened up week 1 on the road in New York against the Jets. With rookie Derek Carr starting at quarterback, the Raiders came in to MetLife Stadium looking for a win. The first have looked good as they went into halftime 7-10 Jets. Then the second half came, and the Raiders did not come with it, as they lost the game 19-14.

The Raider coach's didn't make any adjustments at halftime for the second half. As good as the Raiders looked in the first half, they came out and look like a completely different team in the second. One of the biggest things you got to do in football is play all four quarters. And that is one thing that the Raiders don't do.

Carr in his first start in the NFL went 20 for 32 with 151 yard and 2 touchdowns, with no interceptions. Between McFradden, Jones-Drew, and Reece the Raiders had a total of 25 yards rushing. Raiders defense had 1 fumble recovery, 2 sacks and 1 interceptions. Raiders had 4 penalties for 20 yards.

There is no way your going to win a game with only 25 yards total between 3 runners. That is just insane that they have runners like they do and only have 25 yards total. They need to get the run game going if they want to win games.

The bright spots in the game for the Raiders is that Carr looked good for a starting rookie quarterback. He moved around in the pocket instead of just taking a sack.  The penalties are, so far, way down from what they normally get in a game. Woodson was all over the field making tackles and got a interception.

Raiders open at home in week 2 versus the Huston Texans who just got a 17- 6 win over the Washington Redskins in week 1. Hoping my Raiders can make the right adjustments for the Texans at home in week 2. Go Raiders.
