A PORTABLE SUPER NINTENDO CALLED THE SUPABOY

Miss your Super Nintendo? Did you always wish you could take your favorite Super Nintendo games like Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario World on the road with you? Well you can with the SupaBoy. Made by Hyperkin, the SupaBoy came out on December 1st, 2011. Now I had not heard about SupaBoy prior to it coming out. I was looking up video game info when I came cross it. So having some of my favorite games on the SNES, it caught my eye.

BEST GAME ON THE SUPER NINTENDO..SUPER METROID

Back when I first started my blog I wrote about one of my favorite games, Super Metroid. I went back and read it, and did not think I put enough effort into that post, so I decided to write another one with more info. Having said that, in my opinion Super Metroid was the best game on the Super Nintendo. I know a lot of people will disagree with  me, but as I said before, this in is my opinion. I would like to think that no one would argue that Super Metroid has at least got to be in the top five Super Nintendo games of all time. Super Metroid was released in North America April 18, 1994. Samus Aran is the main character as she was in Metroid her first game for the NES in 1986, and her second game Metroid II: Return Of Samus for the Game Boy in 1992.

Super Metroid starts off right where Metroid II left off. Samus is doing a report on her first two mission. She reports that after a Metroid larva hatches, the first thing it sees is Samus. Being the first thing the Metroid saw, it thought that Samus was it's mother. Samus collects the Metroid and brings it to Ceres Space Colony in hopes that the scientists could learn more about it. Samus leaves the space colony thinking all is well. Shortly after leaving she receive a distress call from Ceres and she head back. This is when you take control of Samus. When you arrive, you find all the scientists dead and the Metroid larva missing. As you search the colony, you find the larva in a back room. As soon as you go for the Larva, Samus's old enemy Radley, the leader of the Space Pirates, appears and grabs the Metroid. After a quick battle Radley flees and Ceres Space Colony goes into a self-destruct mode. You now have to beat the count down and rush back to your ship. Once you get to the ship you escape the colony and follow Radley to the Space Pirate's home planet, the planet Zebes.

DOUG IS STILL AWESOME!

So today I was watching a old episode of the hit 90's cartoon Doug. Doug was a cartoon that ran on Nickelodeon from 1991-1994 and Disney from 1996-1999. Doug was about a kid who lived in a town called  Bluffington who has a wild imagination and writes about his day every night in his journal. Doug goes to Bluffington High and lives at home with his mom and dad and his sister Judy, who is into drama and plays. He also lives with his trustful dog Porkchop. His best friend is Skeeter who is very trust worthy and also was his first friend when he moved to Bluffington. The love interest of Doug is Patti Mayonnaise. And he was always bullied by Rodger Klotz, who was also oddly a friend too.

SUPER METROID

Ok, so Super Metroid came out for the Super Nintendo back in the 90's. This was and still is one of my favorite video games ever. In fact, to this day I will go back and still play it. I believe that this game was a little ahead of its time. It was not just another side croller. The graphics were great, for what graphics were back in the day. I beat the hell of that game. The funny thing is, I can't always remember stuff I learned in school, but I can remember what I need to do and were to go in Super Metroid. It is still funny to me that there are some great games out there and they have some great story's and graphics. And at the end of the day, I would still rather play Super Metroid.
The story is good, and the boss battles are fun and challenging. The music is good and keep you in the game. One of my favorite power ups is when u get the super speed. When you take off and you can slowly hear the suit powering up as you go faster and building up speed is great. And then when you have the power all the way up, you can use that power to shot straight up or across the screen to power through a wall or if you need to get a extra boost to get up to a high ledge or heath tank. This will always be one game that I know I can always go back to and play thought and never get tried of it. Let me know that your favorite game that you can always go back and play and wont get tried of.
I wrote this when I first started out. I have improved a lot in my writing since then. For a better review on Super Metroid fellow this link to a updated post I did for this great Super Nintendo game. http://patricksthoughts64.blogspot.com/2012/02/best-game-on-super-nintendosuper.html
