BEST GAME ON THE SUPER NINTENDO..SUPER METROID

Back when I first started my blog I wrote about one of my favorite games, Super Metroid. I went back and read it, and did not think I put enough effort into that post, so I decided to write another one with more info. Having said that, in my opinion Super Metroid was the best game on the Super Nintendo. I know a lot of people will disagree with  me, but as I said before, this in is my opinion. I would like to think that no one would argue that Super Metroid has at least got to be in the top five Super Nintendo games of all time. Super Metroid was released in North America April 18, 1994. Samus Aran is the main character as she was in Metroid her first game for the NES in 1986, and her second game Metroid II: Return Of Samus for the Game Boy in 1992.

Super Metroid starts off right where Metroid II left off. Samus is doing a report on her first two mission. She reports that after a Metroid larva hatches, the first thing it sees is Samus. Being the first thing the Metroid saw, it thought that Samus was it's mother. Samus collects the Metroid and brings it to Ceres Space Colony in hopes that the scientists could learn more about it. Samus leaves the space colony thinking all is well. Shortly after leaving she receive a distress call from Ceres and she head back. This is when you take control of Samus. When you arrive, you find all the scientists dead and the Metroid larva missing. As you search the colony, you find the larva in a back room. As soon as you go for the Larva, Samus's old enemy Radley, the leader of the Space Pirates, appears and grabs the Metroid. After a quick battle Radley flees and Ceres Space Colony goes into a self-destruct mode. You now have to beat the count down and rush back to your ship. Once you get to the ship you escape the colony and follow Radley to the Space Pirate's home planet, the planet Zebes.

ONE OF THE DEFINITIONS OF HAVING NO CLASS, THINKING YOUR BETTER THEN SOMEONE ELSE

You know something that really makes me laugh? Is when a guy or girl, gets with someone and completely  changes who they are. How all of a sudden, there friends are not good enough for him, cause she has a problem with them. I have never understood how someone can just turn there back on there friends and change who they are for a girl.

Having said that, last night I had a big fall out with someone I thought was a friend. Now I know I am not the easiest guy to get a long with. I am very opinionated and talk loud. I speak my mine and tell it as it is. People tend to not like hearing the truth. One saying I have always lived by is, a friend will tell you what you want to hear, a true friend will tell you what you need to hear. I truly believe in that saying. Now having say all that, I am a loyal friend. I will have your back and if I can help you out if your struggling, I will. I would give you my shirt off my back if needed.

GREATEST EPISODE OF YOUNG JUSTICE....EPISODE 16 "FAILSAFE"

In writing a review on the new RPG video game Young Justice: Legacy that comes out in 2013, it really got me thinking about my favorite episode of the cartoon, Failsafe. This episode might be one of my favorite cartoon episodes ever. The writers really need credit for this one. I watched Failsafe over and over because it was not only a great episode, but it was a trip. At the end you were like,"Wait, WHAT?!" You connect with the characters.
So the show starts up with the Young Justice team along side Red Tornado in Mount Justice watching a unknown alien ship heading towards Earth. The ship is met by Superman, Green Lantern, Caption Atom, Martian Manhunter, Caption Marvel, and Batman. Green Lantern tells the alien ship to identify themselves and there business. Next thing you see is a big bright light come out of the ship vaporizing Green Lantern. The rest of the team go into attack mode, all for not as they too get vaporized. Knowing that the team needs him, Red Tornado tells the Young Justice team to stay put for now, and takes off to help the rest of the League.

UPDATED ON A TEST THAT COULD CHANGE THINGS FOR THE BETTER

Well I took the test and failed. I studied my ass off for this test. Even took a special class for it. And the end result is the same. Done with that chapter in my life. I knew I was not going to be able to do other kind of work outside of physical work. See the thing is I know my limits, learned to expect them a long time ago. I know how smart I am. But everyone else, friends and family, all kept say,"Oh you got this, believe in yourself, we do. We know you can do it!" I knew better to buy into that crap, but I still did. I got myself all pumped up, thinking, yeah I do got this shit.

A TEST THAT COULD CHANGE THINGS FOR THE BETTER.......PHLEBOTOMY LICENSE TEST

Tomorrow morning at nine A.M. sharp I am taking a test. The test is to get my Phlebotomy licenses so I can draw blood. All the schooling and externship are done, now to finish everything before looking for a job is to get the license. I need to keep the nerves in check.
Phlebotomy was a job I really never thought I would do. Always was more of a physical worker. Did jobs like moving furniture, fixing appliances, or working in warehouses. Been better working with my hands and figuring things out by taking things apart and fixing them. Use to being out on the road, and not staying in one place. But when I hurt my hip and then my wrist, things had to change. I still need to make money some how, and support my wife and the family we want to have. No kids at the moment, and we want kids. So I needed something to be able to safe money.

DC COMIC'S CARTOON TO BECOME NEW RPG.....YOUNG JUSTICE: LEGACY

Young Justice is a DC Comic's cartoon that airs on cartoon network. And I personally love this cartoon. As I said before, I am more a Marvel guy, but DC has been really good about making shows and comics about sidekicks. Teen Titans, although very different style from Young Justice, was another great sidekick cartoon from DC that does not focus on the big name superheros, and help you get to know more about our heroes of tomorrow. Episode 16 of Young Justice called Failsafe was a awesome episode that was a major trip and had me watching it over and over.

HITTING A MILESTONE

In  three months I will be turning thirty years old. And wail in a way I am not looking forward to it, I don't feel like I am still that old. It was not that big of a deal when I left my teens. I mean who does not look forward to hitting twenty one. Even if your not a drinker, at twenty one you're officially a adult and no one can really tell you what you can or can not do. I honestly don't feel like when I hit thirty that its all down hill from there. Now having said that, I look back at my life and see that I am not where I thought I would be. At the age of twenty nine looking at thirty approaching fast, I wonder what things I could have done differently, the people I have meet, and choices I have made.

WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2012

Yesterday, 2/19/2012, was the WWE's Pay-Per-View event, the Elimination Chamber. This is the event were they have six wrestlers fighting for the belt in a huge cage called by the same name of the Pay-Per-View, the Elimination Chamber. The chamber is a giant cage with four pods one in each corner of the chamber. The first four wrestlers to come out for the match go into one of the four pods, where they are locked in that pod until five minutes goes by and then they are randomly released one by one. The last two to come out start the match off. The only way to be eliminated from the match is to be pinned or to tap out from submission. The last man standing becomes the new champion. They normally have two chamber match for the show, one for the Raw brand, and one for the Smackdown brand.  The chamber matches are not the only matches they have at the Pay-Per-View.

OAKLAND A'S BASEBALL IS ALMOST HERE

Football season has come and gone, and now it getting time to bust out the peanuts and Cracker Jack's because baseball season is right around the corner. Baseball is my second favorite sport next to football. Now I am a Oakland A's fan, always have been. And even though I am looking forward to the upcoming season, at the same time I am not. I love my Oakland A's, but with all the trades they have been making lately it has been driving me crazy. Now a lot of people are saying it because they owner of the Oakland A's wants to move the team to another city. They are looking at staying in California and moving down the 880 freeway from Oakland to Fremont. Now I hear they are looking at moving to even further down the 880 freeway to San Jose. Personally I wish they would just re-built the stadium they are at now, and stay in Oakland. Now I know they share the stadium with the Oakland Raiders, but if they re-built the stadium to compensate both teams, I don't understand why it could not work.

DO YOU REMEMBER.......GAME BOY, THE HANDHELD THAT STARTED IT ALL

The original Game Boy was introduced to North America in August of 1982. It was manufactured by Nintendo and was created by Gunpei Yokoi, along with the Nintendo Research and Development 1. They are the same staff who designed the Game & Watch series. The Game Boy was a 8-bit handheld system, that played games in black and white.

DOUG IS STILL AWESOME!

So today I was watching a old episode of the hit 90's cartoon Doug. Doug was a cartoon that ran on Nickelodeon from 1991-1994 and Disney from 1996-1999. Doug was about a kid who lived in a town called  Bluffington who has a wild imagination and writes about his day every night in his journal. Doug goes to Bluffington High and lives at home with his mom and dad and his sister Judy, who is into drama and plays. He also lives with his trustful dog Porkchop. His best friend is Skeeter who is very trust worthy and also was his first friend when he moved to Bluffington. The love interest of Doug is Patti Mayonnaise. And he was always bullied by Rodger Klotz, who was also oddly a friend too.

STAR TREK GAME WILL BE BEAMING UP TO CONSOLE PLATFORMS SOON

After the big motion picture re-imagined movie of Star Trek came out in 2009, Star Trek has been brought to a whole new generation of Trekkie's. Since it came out there is a whole new buzz about Star Trek.
Now personalty I am more of a Star Wars fan, but still like me some Star Trek too. On February 2, 2010 a Star Trek MMORPG came out called Star Trek Online.Well now there in the mist of making another Star Trek game, titled the same as the movie, that will be a third person shooter for the PlayStation 3, X-Box 360, and PC formats. The bases of the game will be about Kirk and Spock needing to learn how to work together as a team as they try and stop a infamous enemy race from conquering the galaxy. This will be the first time ever in a game where you get to take on the role as either Kirk or Spock. Star Trek the game will be based off J.J. Abram's Star Trek movie so this game is taking place in between the Star Trek 2009 movie and the new Star Trek movie set to come out on May 17, 2013.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day is coming up and I already hear everyone talking about what there going to get or where there going to go for there boyfriend or girlfriend, wife or husband. This always makes me laugh because I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. Well I should say my wife and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day.  I never really have, and don't ever really plan on it in the future. Why do I need to take this one day out of the year to say I love you or show that I really care? If you really love someone, you do it year around and don't need to do anything extra to prove that. And if you really love your boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, or husband, you don't need to expect anything on that day. Now if you want to go out on that day then, by all means do it.

THANK YOU COREY BASS FOR THE ARTWORK

I wrote a story about PETA back in November about how PETA was attacking Mario from Nintendo's Super Mario Brothers franchise for his tanookie raccoon suit. To recap a little, PETA made a game on there site about Mario flying around with a bloody tanookie raccoon skin suit dripping blood. Mean wail the bloody skinless tanookie raccoon ran after him trying to get his skin back. When the bloody skinless tanookie raccoon catches Mario they show the tanookie raccoon fighting Mario in a big cloud of smoke and it ends with the tanookie raccoon saying,"FUCK YOU MARIO, THIS IS A ANIMALS SKIN." If you know anything about the Mario Brothers franchise, you know that they don't have Mario skinning animals. And he uses a power leaf to get his flying tanookie suit.  Now if you want more info please go back and read my previous post. Now when I heard about this story and wrote my blog post, I ask my good friend Corey Bass, who is a excellent drawer and comic book writer, to come up with some artwork for me. I gave him my basic idea of what I wanted, and he drew it up for me. I could not be happier with what he came up with. This is not the first time Corey has drawn something up for my video game podcast I do or just for me. He is a very talented artist and I can't wait to see more of his work. So thank you Corey for the time you put into this project you did for me and keep at it. You can see more of Corey's awesome artwork at,

WHO HAS THE BEST ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?

So with all the games out there, comes a lot of different mulitplayer online games. Who has the best? There's a lot to choose from, but I am going to just stick to talking about Call Of Duty, Halo, and Gears Of War. I have played more mulitplayer games  then these three, but they are the main ones I play. I have played some Assassin Creed, Army Of  Two, Resistance, Left 4 Dead, Mortal Kombat, BioShock 2, Dead Space 2, Madden, and Grand Thief Auto 4. I am sure I have tried other games also, but those are the ones off the top of my head. Now Madden is Madden, and same goes for Mortal Kombat. You are just playing someone else in football. And as for Mortal Kombat, or say a Street Fighter game, you are going online to fight other player. So there just your basic online multiplayers. So you got your two types of multiplayers in my option, run and gun and duck and cover.

CAN'T SHAKE THIS FEELING

So I can't shake this feeling that something bad is going to happen soon. I don't know to who, weather it going to happen to me or someone I know. I have had this feeling for about a week or so. I just hope nothing will really happen. I can't really sake it and its starting to get to me. It just sits in the back of my head. I don't think about all day, but it comes on strong from time to time. I don't want to wish any bad vibes to anyone at all. The thing that is really getting me is when I get these feeling, it some times comes true. Hopefully this feeling will go away soon and everything will be good.

CHRONICLE

I just saw the movie Chronicle. I thought it would be a really good movie with action and a good story. Well the story could have been good, and the action could have been great, but the whole movie was in POV, point of view,. I really hate POV movies. If I had known that it was a POV movie, I would not have wasted my time and gone and seen it. Since it was a POV, you lost a lot of the action. Things you want to see, like the fight scenes, where not as exciting cause of the POV. There where some cool parts of Chronicle, but over all I wish I would have seen it when it comes to T.V. so I would not have had to waste my nine dollars. Now I know most would say,"Nine dollars?

That's not that bad." Well that's just how I am. If I go to see a movie I want the most out of my money. Especially when they keep raising the prices of tickets. I went with friends, so if I would have drove, I would have left. They took, in my opinion, something that really could have been great, and made it into a mediocre movie. They really took a lot away from this movie because of the POV. I was really wish they had done this movie different. Maybe if I see it again when it hits T.V., who really knows.

PRAYING, DOES IT WORK.........

Does praying really work? Can you kneel down, put your hands together, close your eyes, and pray to God for whatever you are praying for to make a difference? And if you do, does it really help or make that difference? Well I know you can knell down, put your hands together, close your eyes, and pray to God, but I don't believe it does anything.

Now let me say right off the bat that I do believe in God, and I do have my own believes. But as far as praying goes, its not for me. Praying is more like a state of mind thing, to make you feel better. It is said that you talk to God through your prayers. Well I can talk with out using prayer. And praying for someone to get better from being sick or whatever the case maybe does not work in my option. If its your time to go, its your time to go. Praying is more for a state of mind. To make you feel better. People do the same thing when they meditate, to relax there body and mind. And if that is what you need to do to make you feel better then do what you have to do. But as far as how I feel, it does not help. Sorry if I offend anyone, but just like you have the right to believe in what you want to, well so do I.

I use to pray all the time. And after I stopped praying, nothing changed. My life goes on the same. Now I have heard that paying for some people makes thing easier or there life feel more complete. And like I said before, its a state of mind. And my state of mind is not in the need for comfort in that way. This is just how I feel. And I am sure I am not the only one out there that feels this way.
