The Conjuring came out on July 19th. As soon as I had seen the trailer for it I got pretty excited. I am one who loves horror movies. Now a days though I try not to get myself to excited for them cause the less excited I am, the less disappointed I will be if it turns out bad or just okay. A lot of times you get the best or most scariest parts in the trailers. Also it seems like horror movies now a days are just some random torture, bloody, and gore film, Which is not a bad thing, but I miss them good old horror movies that make you jump from all the suspense that gets built up throughout the movie. And who doesn't love a movie that makes you second guess walking down the dark hallway at night after watching a horror movie that scared the socks off you.

IT'S A BIRD, IT'S A PLANE, IT'S...HYPERION?
The latest episode of Disney's XD Avengers Assemble aired today. The seventh episode of the new series is called Hyperion. This was my first experience with Hyperion even though I a huge Marvel fan. So I was a little shocked at this character and his similarities to his powers and look to two DC Comic characters. He looked like Captain Marvel, cape to one side and same color scheme, with Superman's powers.
The show starts off with the Avengers trying to stop a bunch of meteors from destroying the city. There where all doing pretty well until one huge meteor dubbed a "Earth-Eater" for its size, which would be enough to kill everything on the planet. Hulk and Thor use all of there might to try and break it apart and Iron Man tries to slow it down. Iron Man realizing that they where not going to be able to stop it in time starts saying his goodbyes to his teammates. Just then the whole meteor is blown into tiny cubes. As the Avengers regroup and try to figure out what happen, the see Hyperion standing about some of the cubes. He gives a wave and a wink and flies off.

SORRY CUBS FANS, IT WAS JUST A DREAM!
Last night I had a dream that I was playing baseball. Now as a Oakland Athletics fan, you would think that if I was going to dream about playing for a MLB team it would be them. But no, for some reason I dreamt I was playing for the Chicago Cubs. Which is very strange since the A's and Cubs are not even in the same division or league.
In my dream I was up to bat. We were in Chicago at Wrigley Field and it was the bottom of the 9th. Down 1 runs and with two outs left. If I make this last out, we lose the World Series and the Chicago White Soxs would win. Being down in the count 1-2, I had to swing to stay alive. I could feel the crowds energy no matter how much I tried to tune them out. As the pitcher gets ready to throw the ball, you can hear the crowd gasp for air hoping for a hit. The pitch comes, a low curve ball. I swing the bat in hops to make contact. SMACK!! I connect with the ball and drive a line drive single to the outfield.

CESPEDES THE 2013 ALL STAR HOME RUN DERBY WINNER
The 2013 All Star Home Run Derby was tonight. There were 6 different big league sluggers who went for the title of Home Run Derby King. But there can be only one! And it was not who all the experts thought it would be. Most thought it would be the from winner of the 2012 derby Prince Fielder, he was eliminated in the first round. But the crown came to the West Coast tonight.

FOUR DAY VACATION
I just had a four day weekend over this past 4th Of July. Normally I don't do much for the 4th Of July now a days. Since the 4th fell on a Thursday, I decided to take the 5th off for 2 reasons, first of all I found out that Weird Al Yankovic was going to be at the Alameda County Fair that day, and second of all I just wanted a long weekend. But Friday was not my only fun filled day.
Well all the fun started before day one. After work on Wednesday I was sitting at home watching the A's game. I looked over at my wife and said," Man I want to go bowling." A few calls later and I was at Castro Valley Bowl in the bar waiting for my people to show up. Castro Valley Bowl on Wednesday nights has a deal, $10 to bowl from 9-12. So the rest of the night was filled with music, laughs, and bowling as I enjoyed the night with my wife Crystal and our family Angelo, Nicole, Brain, and Scott.

RACISM AND HOMOPHOBIC'S IN THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE
With only it's fourth episode of season 15, there has been a lot of controversy in the Big Brother House. Three of the house guest have been caught on video saying racist and/or homophobic things. All three house guest are white. Aaryn is a college student who is also a model from Texas, Gina Marie who is a pageant coordinator from Staten Island, and Spencer who is a railroad conductor from Arkansas.
On the episode that aired on 7/7/13, CBS showed mostly Aaryn saying both racist and homophobic comments about other house guest behind there back. Also about other races in general. Gina Marie was shown saying racist comments while talking with Aaryn. They are both shown laughing about it like it was a everyday thing they did. As for Spencer, they did not show his homophobic comments towards the only gay house guest, Andy, on the episode. But people who watch the live feed heard what he said and have been posting it online.
